School Holiday Art Workshops

(For Children Age 5 -13)

All Art workshops involve drawing and painting, some classes are just for sculpture. We discuss all elements of Art before we begin, for example, colour, form and composition. We then explore a similar artwork by Artists from around the world, Australia, Europe or America. A broad overview of how other artists create but also a historical element to explain the times they painted in. Which helps explain why they painted what they painted. And we have fun! We play Games & there are Prizes to win!

Feel free to book a class with your friends – 4 or more for a 3 hour or full day workshop.

School Holidays -9.30-3pm – $100pp or 9.30-12.30pm for $65 – small classes 6-8 children only, I need a minimum of 3 children for the class to go ahead.

January 23 – Friday – Portraits for the Young Archies. Practice now and prepare a portrait you can enter into this year Young Archie’s Competition.

Start with tonal sketches then complete a canvas. (All martials included)

January 30 – Friday – Pet Portraits. BYO pet photo to paint or go through my gorgeous dog book and find you fav. It might be a bird, a lizard, you choose your favorite Pet.

Rachel Carroll has over 20 years experience as an artist and over 10 years teaching experience. Mediums include – watercolours, oil painting, acrylic painting, mixed media, drawing, encaustic, printing and more! NEW ADULT ART CLASSES

Wednesday Morning 10-12 – try acrylics or watercolours – Booking now for Term 1 – 2026 – two spots available.

Wednesday afternoon 1-3pm – one spot available.

Saturday afternoon 1.30-3.30pm – try Watercolours , acrylics and more! This is a great way to get back into your creative groove. Start with a 4 week course learning all new techniques and approaches for your watercolour or acrylic painting. Bring an artwork you want to change or improve or start new work. $225 for 4 weeks, all materials included.

INCURSIONS

Rachel can come to your school and run a workshop in mixed media or encaustic.

Hi Rachel, We had a great time too and were very impressed with the work of the vast majority of kids. They showed some wonderful attention to detail and much better spatial awareness of body proportion, area used on the page and positions of body features than we were expecting.
