Arrernte Country

WELCOME……

Here you will find information about my current projects, plus my past and present exhibitions. My passion for sharing Art and teaching Art has increased since 2019. I gave up my Council job and started teaching and painting full-time. I now teach 14 classes a week over 6 days, both Children and Adults.

In the holidays I get as far into the outback as possible and embrace the challenge of En Plein Air painting – our country feeds me inspiration in story, colour and people. In 2023 I had my first trip to the Red Centre (Arrernte Country) and the colour remains warm in my heart. Most recently I have discovered Mudgee (Moothi Country) and the colours have softened, it felt like a cooler country.

I love every opportunity to share my new Artworks with an interested audience. My recent journey to Arrerente country has taken me to a whole new place of passion, and that is the story that comes from our Indigenous elders, to understand how they see the country and respect the country is a constant fascination to me. This knowledge comes from a lifelong understanding of the land, an understanding we can only try to begin to grasp in small snippets. These snippets are like secret caves or gardens filled with knowledge. I have only just begun to understand how important it is to have this vast knowledge in our own country, a knowledge that could at some stage, help us as a nation but also the rest of the rest of the world.

I have a studio for viewing my new artwork on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, but I also exhibit at Galleries within NSW. To buy my work, please contact me direct check out my STORE for a sample. The most recent series is titled Arrerente Country, and I do have some still available. Rex-Livingston Gallery in Katoomba and Purple Noon Gallery on the Hawkesbury. My New series titled Moothie Country can be sampled in November as I am invited to exhibit in a group exhibition at Dickerson Gallery.

PLUS, all the workshops I run for Adults and Children. My Workshops are run on the Northern Beaches in my Beacon Hill Studio. You may have seen Northern Beaches Art Classes in a Google search. Please contact me direct to book. You can also go to my workshop page to find the link. Thanks for being here, feel free to contact me and join my mailing list.

My Father Patrick Carroll was a huge inspiration, he is the reason I became an Artist. Expressionistic Realism was his preferred style, but he also ventured into abstraction later in life. It is my passion to continue his legacy and share his art with everyone. We as a family have recently had a book made to share his Artistic story and journey. Next Month the book will be launched at Manly Art Gallery - Feb 2026 - All Welcome!
