NEW EXHIBITION SHOW CASING My latest Encaustic Artwork – Join me in July 13- 2023 at the IMAGINER Gallery Sydney Road, Manly
Encaustic is an ancient technique from 800bc. Originally from Greece. It uses a bees wax combined with a hardener and pigments. I teach this program in my studio and at numerous Art Centre’s in NSW. Contact me to book a workshop: rachel@rachelcarroll.com.au
Two bodies of work are currently in progress –
1.The Seed Project : This is a new body of work that began after a private tour of the Seed Bank in Mt Annan with Dr Karen Sommerville. My focus is currently seeds from the Daintree. The Black Bean and the pandanis.
2. Landscapes – I am particularly interested in storms and changing sky’s.
My next exhibition is titled TWILIGHT
I am currently running workshops in Encaustic in my Beacon Hill Studio.
